Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of metallurgists and technical professionals (direct and indirect reports)
  • Drive plant performance through process optimisation, cost-efficiency initiatives and innovation Coordinate production forecasting, modelling, budgeting, and long-term planning
  • Maintain high standards of safety, culture, and technical excellence
  • Deliver business improvement projects, from design to execution
  • Manage test work, data quality, and metallurgical accounting systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, suppliers and technical teams
You will also possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering
  • Chartered Professional (AusIMM) or SME membership highly desirable
  • Significant experience in mineral processing, especially grinding and flotation

Newmont
