As a Lead Educator and an Early Childhood Teacher at Kallahra Child Care Centre in Norman Gardens, QLD, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality educational and care services to children. What you'll be doing

  • Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children
  • Foster a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children
  • Effectively communicate with parents, caregivers and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's learning and wellbeing
  • Supervise and mentor junior educators, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  • Lead Educator - Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Early Childhood Teacher - Bachelor or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching
  • Experience as a Lead Educator or Early Childhood Teacher in a similar childcare setting
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement engaging educational programs that cater to children's individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Sound knowledge of child development, early learning frameworks and relevant legislation and regulations
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting the wellbeing of children
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
