The Role:
Junior estimator sought for Commercial & Shopfitting company.
We are looking for a motivated, self-driven, approachable and qualified junior bi-lingual (English/Mandarin) estimator to join us at our Beenleigh Facility.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record of estimating and management of all aspects of the tender process in the retail, residential apartment and commercial construction space. Duties include but is not limited to:
· Assist in compiling and submitting tenders for projects and cost plans
· Assist the Estimators during the tender bid process
· Support in the assessment of quotations
· Support the Estimators in estimating off plans
· Prepare subtrade packages for pricing utilising inhouse software for scope of works.
· Assist in markup drawings for take-offs & BOQ's
· Assist in preparing project budgets
· Communication and relationship building with key clients and main contractors
· Other duties as directed.
To be considered for this role you should have the following Skills and experience:
· Exposure to Joinery Industry would be preferred but not essential.
· Bi-lingual skill essential (English/Mandarin).
· Construction background preferred.
· Have a good understanding of reading building set of drawings, especially joinery and good understanding of AutoCAD/Revit.
· Excellent communication skills & comfortable in talking to clients and major stakeholders.
· Self-motivated with good time management skills.
· A team player who can also work individually.
· Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
· Competency in MS suites specifically Excel and other estimating software
· High Attention to detail is crucial
· Willingness to learn software such as Bluebeam or similar
· Numeracy and literacy skills
· Work in a team environment
