About the business

Steamatic is Australia's longest established and largest restoration company with over 35 locations throughout Australia and growing each year. We are now looking to recruit a Restoration Technician to join our dedicated service team.

About the role

  • Days are rarely the same, we will keep you on your toes
  • We cover the entire regional area north of Adelaide, therefore travel is part of the role
  • Overnight stays are necessary for some projects, but this will attract extra pay
  • A self-motivated, reliable person that can work remotely on their own or as part of a team
  • Will suit a problem solver that is willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty
  • Good communication skills are important when dealing with clients
  • Work Ethic, Common Sense, Physically Fit
  • Participation in on call emergency callouts
  • Take pride in your work and being able to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Previous experience in building or specialised cleaning will attract a higher salary
  • All training will be provided, both locally and interstate.

  • Probationary period of 6 months attracts initial hourly rate of $28.50 PH, after 6 months this rate will be reviewed.

Skills and experience

  • Liaising with Clients onsite using exceptional customer service
  • Water, Fire and Mould Remediation of damaged properties and contents
  • Completion of paperwork on iPad and reporting
  • If you have previous carpentry or handy person skills this will attract a higher pay rate
  • Valid Australian driver's licence required for extensive regional travel
  • Australian citizenship or unrestricted work rights required
  • Physical fitness required: able to lift up to 20kg, bend, climb and work in confined spaces
