Matthew Flinders Care Services is located in the beautiful Port Lincoln on the lower west coast of Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, know as the seafood capital of Australia. Port Lincoln is a thriving rural community surrounded by beautiful coastline. About the role
We are seeking to employ enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator to join our dynamic team at Matthew Flinders Care Services.
The role of the Clinical Nurse Educator is to coordinate the assessment, development, implementation, support and evaluation of the education and training needs of staff and students working within Matthew Flinders Care Services (MFCS).
The positions objectives are to
- Actively promote best practice and compliance through staff development and education ensuring optimal outcomes for residents and clients.
- Provide training, mentoring and support to new staff through the orientation and induction program.
- Plan and facilitate education programs for Residential and Community Care, care and clinical teams.
- Support and mentor care and clinical student placements.
- Plan and manage new EN and RN's.
- Support the resident's enablement and empowerment care philosophy at MFCS
- Support the evolution of care as resident's frailty increases.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role
- Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or current candidature
- Experience in the aged care sector or the community nursing environment.
- An understanding of the ANNAC and relevant documentation in line with the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment with flexibility to meet the needs of our organisation.
- Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent computer and documentation skills
- The right to work in Australia
- Have a current NDIS Worker Screening or be willing to obtain.
- Pass a pre-employment medical.
- Provide evidence of current Influenza vaccination.
