Teggman Precast, a leading Sydney-based precast concrete manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Formwork Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Wetherill Park. We specialize in producing high-quality precast tilt-up panels for the construction industry across NSW and interstate.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work with a skilled team of formworkers, steel fixers, and concreters to produce custom precast panels. This specific Carpentry formwork role demands precision, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate must be physically fit and willing to work the hours required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and assembly procedures for wooden formwork and panel construction.
· Material Preparation: Order, measure, cut, and assemble timber and other materials to create custom wooden formwork and specialized panels.
· Formwork Assembly: Construct and install formwork systems tailored to unique project specifications, ensuring alignment, stability, and precision.
· Maintenance and Reusability: Inspect, repair, and maintain wooden formwork to ensure durability, quality, and efficient reuse for multiple projects.
· Quality Assurance: Verify the trueness of formwork structures before QA checks and concrete pouring.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, including steel fixers and concreters, to ensure timely and high-quality panel production.
· Problem Solving: Identify and address issues during construction, making adjustments to formwork and layouts as necessary.
· Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols while handling tools, machinery, and materials.
· Production Management Communication: Notify the production management and QA teams of any variations or adjustments required.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualification as a Formwork Carpenter (Australian or overseas equivalent).
- Proven experience with precast tilt-up panels and wooden formwork systems.
- Strong ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings with high accuracy.
- Positive attitude towards teamwork, safety, and maintaining quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
