This can be also an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up and gain the extra skills that make a truly great Head Chef. - Be the driving force behind the kitchen operations in this hands-on role
- Ensure accurate recipe costing and maintain food cost within budgeted COGS
- Manage rosters and wage costs in line with forecasted revenue
- Monitor and control kitchen maintenance expenses to protect profitability
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and take full accountability for kitchen financials
- Collaborate closely with the FOH team to increase sales opportunity and the daily smooth service delivery
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading a team in a kitchen environment
- Excellent wok and knife skills with strong knowledge of Chinese and Asian ingredients
- Organised, efficient, and confident in menu planning and preparation
- A natural coach and leader who thrives on mentoring others
- Strong HACCP knowledge and commitment to OH&S practices
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (non-negotiable). If not currently held, please state in your application.
- A team player who communicates and collaborates with all departments
- Full Australian work rights and availability across dinner/lunch services, evenings and weekends
