Dugald River mine is one of the world's top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017.

The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023 the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine's power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition.

Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis. The village provides all the amenities including a gym, with a women's only area, a tennis court, swimming pool, walking track and entertainment area.

Operator Mining – Truck Driver

We currently have an opportunity for a Operator Mining – Truck Driver to join our Mining team at Dugald River Mine.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Mining, you will carry out the safe and efficient underground ore and waste haulage.

This role is based on an 8/7, 7/6 (Days & Nights) roster, drive in drive out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa, Queensland or fly in fly out from Townsville, Queensland.

Day to day -

• Safely operate dump trucks to meet targets and perform additional tasks as assigned.

• Ensure strong communication with supervisors and stakeholders for smooth haulage operations.

• Maintain accurate records, including radio updates to Mine Control.

• Monitor equipment, address hazards, and report issues promptly.

• Ensure machinery is well-maintained and prepared for service.

• Adhere to mine and industry compliance standards.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

• A current C Class Licence

• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Pre-Employment Medical

• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience operating dump trucks in an underground hard rock environment
