About the Role

We are seeking a Harvest and Haulage Operator to join our Farm team at our Glenalbyn/ Inglewood location.

The Harvest and Haulage Operator plays a vital role in supporting both our Harvest team and Distillery operations supporting the day to day running of FGB's Blue Mallee farm and Distillery.

Key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Operate and maintain harvesting and mulching equipment to cut and harvest for the production of eucalyptus oil.
  • Operate machinery and equipment in the production of eucalyptus oil and deliver harvested material to FGB's distillery for processing
  • Assist and support the Distillery team as required.
  • Maintain all farm plant and equipment in good working order and take all necessary precautions to keep equipment safe and secure.

Ideally, you will:

  • Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture or forestry operations
  • An ability to work unsupervised in a farm environment
  • Experience operating farm machinery (tractors) and equipment productively with a focus on health and safety.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude with solid experience in basic farm equipment repairs
  • A positive and professional attitude, with great communication skills
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver's licence
