About the business and the role

We are a small but growing Accounting firm based in Burwood. We currently require an intermediate Accountant who can speak Sinhalese to join our team to start immediately

The Successful Candidate:

You must be approachable and friendly. You will work on a range of small to medium clients and be involved with tasks from start to finish.

You will also need:

  • At least 2-3 years' experience in Tax and Business Services
  • Thorough up to date knowledge in Taxation and its application  to SMEs
  • Ability to prepare Tax returns & financial statement preparations for companies, trusts, individuals & partnerships using Xero Practice Manager
  • Sound knowledge in GST compliance and reporting requirements

Team Member Requirements:

  • Positive attitude to work , Ability to work both in team environment and autonomously
  • Attention to detail, Good communication and writing skills with clients and the ATO
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Xero, MYOB and Quickbooks
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
