Hello I'm Karl, Owner and Operator at Ausbeds in Marrickville

I make, sell, and deliver mattresses from on site, in Marrickville. My business is growing, and I'd love someone to come and help

Here's what the job looks like day to day as accurately as I can so you are able to understand if this is something you want to do.

Basically, my plan is that you'll arrive at 10am, work until 6pm monday to wednesday $34 per hour. saturday and sunday is 10-2pm, I pay the weekend rates also as per the law.

You'll sit at the reception desk, and great people that arrive.

When they arrive, your most important responsibility will be to show people how the mattresses work. When people understand the modular nature of the mattress, the sale is done. There is not need to push people to buy here.

The only push is, the push to make sure they understand the functionality of the design. This doesn't really take long, if you get along well with people this part of the job can be a pleasure, many people haven't seen the inside of a mattress, and they are quite fascinated.

This job is somewhat unique in that people purchase on site, we make them in the same bulding, and we deliver them straight away. For this reason it can be quite rewarding taking someone through the process of choosing, to the mattress to be delivered in their bedroom, sometimes in less than 24hours.

I have a pretty simple few steps that I run through with people when they arrive. it only takes a few minutes to run through it.

People also order mattresses over the phone from brisbane and melbourne, so you'll help them.

Getting the details right.

If you write up an invoice, and you get a single digit wrong, you may send the wrong mattress to brisbane. This can cost me $1000, a crapload of fixing, and a possible bad review. You must have a very keen eye for detail. Basically, you must be an extremely clear communicator.
