2IC Production Supervisor

CJZ Farms is a family owned business within the heart of the Lockyer Valley. We supply various different vegetable lines to multiple food processing companies and take pride in the quality of our products.
We're looking for a worker to become the 2IC Production Supervisor, therefore taking on the role of the Production Supervisor whenever the current supervisor is on leave.
As 2IC duties will include:
o Inspecting produce quality
o Cutting, trimming and washing produce
o Packing of produce
o General shed cleaning
o Responsibility to understand the site's commitment to the ongoing compliance to the Freshcare Food Safety & Quality Standard
o Demonstrate compliance with the site's food safety, access and movement requirements
o Follow directions given from Production Supervisor or Director
o Ensure that customer quality expectations are met
o Induction of new staff
o Training staff
o Administration duties specific to role
As Production Supervisor duties will include:
o Reporting to the Director
o Ensure that customer quality expectations are met – Quality inspections on all produce lines
o Induction of new staff
o Training staff
o Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled
o Arranging transportation to customer
o Liaising with Director regarding order fulfilment / staffing requirements
o FIFO rotation in cold storage area
o Organising staff for shifts
o Administration duties specific to role
o Overall responsibility for management of the product distribution in compliance with the Freshcare Food Safety & Quality Standard
o Managing any instances of a potential for product contamination and report these to Quality Manager
o Managing customer requirements in consultation with the Director
o Attending annual Quality Management Review meetings
o Supporting the QA Admin
