DVD King is looking for highly motivated and passionate people who love and want to work with physical media, films and movie knowledge every day.

We offer an extremely high level of customer service and engage with clients on a personal basis.

Our job is to help people find exactly what they're looking for; whether it be a long lost TV show from the 1950s or a rare Star Wars figurine from we are the DVD Movie Specialists.

We specialise in movies, TV shows, memorabilia, pop vinyl, shirts, posters, board games, books and magazines - anything related to film and pop culture.

We require someone to join our professional team dealing with a very high volume of customer traffic and processing lots of stock.

You must be willing to work hard, have a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with customers, be energetic, reliable, organised and punctual.

Retail experience is not absolutely necessary, but preferable. What is imperative however, is having extensive film and popular culture knowledge. Applicants are required to know most if not all general movie knowledge from the past 30 years - staff need to be able to answer customer questions on anything from A Clockwork Orange to Pokemon. If you are not aware who Stanley Kubrick is or who directed Jaws or can't name at least five Quentin Tarantino movies, then please do not apply for this position. Applicants must be ready and willing to learn, have high attention to detail, an excellent memory, a general knowledge of Excel and computers and be able to work under pressure (very important). Work availability and outstanding communication skills are vital also.

We are open 7 days a week and and are located in Uptown (formerly the Myer Centre) in the Brisbane CBD. We are looking for Full Time staff only - if you only want to work Casual hours or Part Time then do not apply.
