- About the role
We are seeking a full-time Floor finisher / Floor installer / Floor layer to join our team at Vinyl Planks Gold Coast QLD. As a member of our highly skilled installation team, you will be responsible for the professional installation of a variety of flooring products to the highest standard.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately measure, cut and install vinyl planks, tiles and other flooring materials
- Install timber flooring
- Prepare subfloors to ensure a smooth, level surface for flooring installation
- Use specialised tools and equipment to cut, fit and secure flooring materials
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and company specifications
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Collaborate with the wider team to complete projects on time and to budget
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a floor finisher, floor installer or floor layer, ideally in the residential or commercial sectors
- Strong practical skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality installations
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, measure accurately and calculate material requirements
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practices for flooring installation
- Proficient use of power tools, hand tools and other specialised equipment
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work well in a team
