Position Commencing January 2026

  • School Chaplain / Head of Service Learning (PT 0.4FTE, or FT option with teaching) 

    Provide pastoral care and lead K-12 Service-Learning programs 

    Preferred teaching areas: Food Technology, Physics, History

About the Role

The School Chaplain provides pastoral care through ministry to students, staff, and families of the Scots School Albury.

The School expects the Chaplain to lead the chapel and religious education programs.

The Chaplain as the Head of Service – Learning will also develop and implement the school's Service-Learning Program from K-12.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications:

  • A recognised theological degree or equivalent ministry training (preferred)
  • Be a minister/chaplain in good standing with the Uniting Church in Australia or other Christian Denomination.
  • Desirable | Teaching and/or counselling and/or youth leadership qualifications
  • Desirable | Qualifications that allow for registration as a Teacher in NSW | Fulfil requirements as mandated with the NSW Institute of Teachers.
  • Desirable | Postgraduate course in student welfare/counselling/education management.
