POSITION AVAILABLE:

Junior Accountant –Perfect for recent graduates or those studying with 1-2 years of experience looking to build their skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality financial services to our clients. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your skills and expertise will be valued and developed.

We offer flexible work arrangements and a chance to progress within the company while working on a wide portfolio of clients with a mix of tax & business service clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and tax plans for a wide range of individual and business clients
• Prepare Business Activity Statements and periodic operational reviews
• Liaising with the ATO
• Prepare additional statutory reporting requirements, including payroll tax and WorkCover
• The creation and implementation of business cash flow, tax planning, forecasting and other various value-add reporting material
• Direct access to a partner at the firm

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

Our ideal candidates will have:

• 1+ years of business services and taxation experience
• Sound knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and procedures
• Completed or studying towards a Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent or currently studying towards or recently attained CA/CPA qualifications
• Organisation and time management skills
• Strong teamwork skills, with experience working towards team goals and KPIs
• Proficiency in MYOB, Xero & Quickbooks accounting software would be beneficial
