Contract Carpenter

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Carpenter/s to work approximately 2 days per week, helping with installation of windows and doors on existing homes in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle areas.
Candidates must be licensed, have an active ABN, own tools and suitable work vehicle.
Position would suit someone who has their own business and looking for a couple of days of regular work each week.
Candidates must be experienced in hanging doors and installing jambs and door hardware.
Some days will be in a team and other days you will be required to complete carpentry work on a site, on your own.
Quality workmanship is a necessity, taking pride in your work and creating a successful outcome.
We are looking for someone who is willing to commit long term and may lead to more days if preferred.
What you'll be doing
- Perform carpentry tasks such as replacing aluminium windows and doors, replacing internal doors and front entry doorways.
- You may be required to transport the appropriate materials to and from sites.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Carpenter, preferably from a fix out background.
- Strong proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- Good communication skills and good rapport with customers
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and complete tasks on your own.
- Must have a valid carpentry license, issued by NSW Fair Trading.
- Must have an active White Card.
- Your own public liability insurance.
- Valid driver's licence.
