Accounts Clerk

Western Cardiology, a leading privately owned specialist practice with multiple locations in Perth and regional areas, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our Patient Accounts team.

Role Details:

• Part-time opportunity (22.5 hours per week), working Wednesday to Friday.
• Conveniently located in Subiaco, close walking distance to public transport links.

Responsibilities:

As a Patient Accounts Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:

• Generating patient accounts and receipts
• Processing EFTPOS/credit card and cheque transactions accurately
• Managing health fund, Medicare, and hospital billing (using Medicare online & Eclipse)
• Providing clear explanations to patients regarding charges
• Following up on aged debtors
• Handling banking and reconciliation tasks
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail
• Handling phone inquiries and payments
• Filing reports and letters with meticulous attention to detail
• Working collaboratively with Western Cardiology's technical and administrative staff for a harmonious working environment.

About you:

• Previous experience in an accounts role
• Ideally familiar with medical accounts and medical software (but not essential)
• Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to achieving outcomes
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
• Strong face-to-face patient communication skills
• Mature, professional, and empathetic in all interactions
• Well-presented, highly reliable, and a positive contributor
• Highly organized with excellent accuracy in dealing with figures
• Available to work in the office between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm.
