About the role
We're looking for a Product Manager to focus on Platform Teams.
The world's largest organizations often have Platform Teams responsible for implementing Continuous Delivery patterns and practices to ensure standardization and compliance across many application development teams.

- Balance discovery and delivery. You'll guide your team through the full product lifecycle, from research and prioritization to release and iteration.
- Champion clarity. You'll communicate decisions, context, and priorities clearly so your team can stay aligned and focused on outcomes.
- Contribute to the craft of product management at Octopus. You'll share what you learn, help shape our processes, and make product thinking stronger across the company.
- Has multiple years of experience working on an Enterprise B2B product .
- Is comfortable managing a technical product.
- Can guide discussions with customers to uncover opportunities.
- Has experience assessing opportunities and setting direction for the product/product area.
- Has a highly collaborative approach and creates alignment within the organization across executives, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Has worked closely with marketing, sales, or customer success teams to identify and prioritize changes that will unblock product adoption.
- Understands software development lifecycles - web and cloud applications are ideal, and we will invest in growing your knowledge.
- Loves technology and is excited by the potential to solve problems and shape the future.
Compensation:
Octopus has an internally open and transparent system for compensation. Any Octonaut can view the compensation for any role at any level. This ensures people doing the same work with the same skill get paid the same.
The compensation for this role is:
Level 3 - Product Manager
Maturing: $140k AUD / $150k NZD, Performing: $155k AUD / $165k NZD
Salaries exclude Super and KiwiSaver.
Benefits include a minimum of 25 days annual leave, up to 10 days of paid sick and carers leave, 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave with flexible return options, and stock options. Learn more.

Below is the interview process you can expect for this role. We know interviewing can seem daunting, but rest assured, we designed our process to move quickly while still getting you all the information you need.
Step 1 [30 – 60m] – Introductory call with Talent Acquisition to discuss your background, the role, and answer questions.
Step 2 [1hr] – Coffee chat interview with our Product Director to explore your experience, the shape of the role and the problems we're hoping to solve together, and how your skills might complement our mission.
Step 3 [1hr 40m] – Team interview with a small cross-functional group (e.g. Technical Lead, Design Lead, Product Manager), where we explore a product you led/worked on in the past, and your experience in more depth. This is another chance to ask us questions on top of mind and learn from various perspectives and experiences of folks on the team.
We are looking for people who live and work in Australia and New Zealand to join our remote-first team. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for candidates outside of these countries.
