Fintran is Australia's leading cargo fumigation company, established in 2008 and proudly 100% Australian-owned. We specialize in fumigation services for the grain export industry. We pioneered In-Transit Ship Fumigation in Australia and have since expanded to serve a wide range of sectors, including grain, feedstuffs, food production, automotive and breakbulk.

We provides vital treatment services to some of the largest import and export industries in Australia.  We are an innovative company, constantly developing new solutions to combat biosecurity threats.  Fintran operates in all mainland states of Australia, maintaining a workforce of highly trained professionals, and is internationally certified for Quality, Safety and Environmental management.

About the role

Fintran Australia is growing and seeking a reliable, safety-minded Fumigation Technician (Casual) to support our operations in Port Lincoln and surrounding sites.

This role suits either an experienced pest control professional or someone looking to start in the field—we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. A current Pest Control Licence is advantageous but not essential.

Because our work follows vessel movements and client demand, hours are fluctuating and can be unpredictable. You must be comfortable working across days, nights, weekends, and on short notice, with travel as required.

What you'll do

• Perform fumigation and related treatments onboard vessels, at port terminals, and other customer locations.
• Follow strict safety, compliance, and documentation procedures.
• Work closely with the Regional Manager to maintain operational excellence and great customer service.

What we're looking for

• A detail-oriented, professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.
• Flexibility to travel and work varied hours (including nights/weekends) and respond to short-notice shifts.
• Strong time-management and ability to meet deadlines in changing conditions.
• Confidence using digital tools and app-based systems.
• Pest Control Licence (preferred, not essential).
• Current driver's licence.
