Core Talent are currently recruiting skilled and ticketed construction labourers to join one of our key clients who specialise in multi-residential and high-rise commercial builds. This position is based in Yeronga and offers a great opportunity to join a reputable construction company with long-term potential.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced on-site trades assistants with a strong technical background in areas such as:

  • Carpentry
  • Concreting
  • Electrical

Successful candidates will ideally hold multiple tickets, including (but not limited to):

  • Forklift Licence
  • EWP (above & below 11m)
  • Manitou Licence

This is a full-time position starting on a labour hire arrangement for 2-3 months, with the view to transition permanently with the client upon successful completion of probation.

Pay & Benefits

Labour Hire Rate: $38-$40 p/hr + $24 Daily Travel Allowance + Meal Allowance (after 9.5 hrs) + Super + Overtime

Permanent Rate: Negotiable upon direct employment

Please note: This role will initially be offered on a casual basis through Core Talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with daily site operations
  • Perform general and manual labouring duties
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas
  • Support trades teams with problem-solving and project delivery
Requirements
  • Previous commercial construction experience
  • Basic hand and power tool experience
  • Physically fit and capable of performing labouring tasks
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive work ethic
  • Ability to take direction and work within a team

You must also have:

  • Valid White Card
  • Relevant machinery operating tickets
  • Reliable transport
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Minimum 2 construction-based references
  • PPE: Hard hat, hi-vis, steel cap boots, long work pants & shirt
  • Ability to pass a background check
