About the role

A new opportunity has come available for an experienced Home Care and (APY) Projects Lead to join ARRCS on a permanent, full-time basis. This role attracts a salary of Home Care Employee Level 4 of $ $47.43 / hour (dependent of skills and experience) and reports to the Home Care Program Manager.

This exciting role will see you partner with our Home Care team to steer the implementation of our Client Management System for APY Lands operations which includes communities Pukatja, Pipalyatjara, Mimili, Kaltjiti, Iwantja and Amata. You will collaborate with the team supporting this project within the NT whilst ensuring that decisions and outputs are made in line with scope, timeframes and budget.

As the successful candidate, you will bring previous experience in the develop and implementation of a Client Management System and be experienced in the coordination, testing, issue resolution and training of clinical systems. In addition, you will have a background of Home Care and be familiar with standards and legislative requirements. You will be experienced with supporting a remote location and, ideally have cultural knowledge of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. In addition, you must have the ability to regularly travel to remote areas of APY lands, travel will be via 4WD and often light aircrafts. You will also be required to regularly overnight in remote communities of Australia.

Skills and experience

To be considered for this role, we would require you to have the following:

  • Previous experience in the use of or implementation of Client Management Systems with preference to systems related to community aged care.
  • Demonstrated experience in remotely Scheduling staff and services within aged care programs across extensive regional areas with regional, remote and urban classifications.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders to support collaboration of activities to achieve positive shared outcomes.
  • Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and be self-motivated, with the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in client management systems for project evaluation with a demonstrated ability to assess a systems capacity to ensure continuous improvement objectives and reporting on its short, medium- and long-term outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond and adapt to competing priorities whilst working unsupervised.
  • A pro-active attitude and ability to support, guide and mentor others in the workforce.
  • Ability to empathise with Aged People, their families, and Personal Carers.
