Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a Train Maintainer to work with our valued Host Employer in Dry Creek, Adelaide.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, inspection, fault-finding, and repair of Adelaide's train fleet. You will focus on electrical and electronic systems, with some mechanical work required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on trains
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems (e.g., traction, lighting, HVAC, passenger info, doors).
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records in the maintenance system.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in on-call and shift work (virtual roster).
  • Follow all safety protocols and Rail Safety standards.
Position Requirements
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification in Electrical or Dual Trade (Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Hold a current electrical licence (where required by SA legislation and Rail Safety National Law).
  • Have a current driver's licence.
  • Pass and maintain a Category 2 Rail Safety Medical.
