We are looking for a Chiropractic Assistant that is confident, reliable, and self-motivated. Who thrives in a customer service environment and understands the values and benefits of Chiropractic Care and other wellness modalities.

The successful applicant will be a mature-minded person who can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team or autonomously as required. This is a permanent part-time position.

Currently the following shifts are required: Tuesday 7:00am – 12 noon, Tuesday 1:00pm – 6:30pm and alternate Saturdays 7:00am – 12:30pm. ( Total of 28.5 hours per fortnight) Plus be available to provide relief for team members on holidays or sick leave.

Please do not apply if you cannot commit to these hours, this is non-negotiable.

This position is perfect for an individual looking for part-time, consistent employment. This role is not suitable for applicants wishing to work school hours only.

This role is only suitable for those that are able to be on their feet for longer periods of time as we have a standing reception desk only. We need someone that can whole heartedly commit to their rostered hours plus be available at times to provide holiday or sick relief for other team members.

Key duties include:

  • Be 100% customer service focused and reliable
  • Welcoming clients and ensuring that they feel valued and appreciated
  • Managing reception duties including answering telephones in a friendly, cheerful and helpful manner
  • Schedule client appointments, process transactions using HICAPS, maintain client records accurately and assist practitioners with scheduled management programmes for clients
  • Opening and closing the clinic
  • Availability to work early mornings, late evenings and Saturday
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multitask
  • Maintain filing system for client records, preparation of daily files
  • Assist in effective client flow throughout the clinic under the direction of other team members & Practitioners

Requirements:

  • Capacity to prioritise multiple tasks whilst maintaining the flow of the clinic with a joyful, positive demeanour
  • Proven experience in computer skills (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, internet and email) with the ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment
  • Flexibility to cover extra shifts when staff are on holidays and or sick leave

  • Passion to be educated in Chiropractic values and possess the ability to enlighten our clients
  • Experience with Smartsoft Front Desk Practice Management System and/or Smartsoft Pracsuite would be advantageous
  • A professional attitude combined with resilience and diplomacy
