Talent International is searching for an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Queensland Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a 2 contract with potential extensions.

You'll support high-priority ICT initiatives across the Information and Technologies Branch, working closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to be part of a large-scale, impactful government transformation program.

The role:
As a Senior Project Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end delivery of complex ICT projects. You'll provide project coordination, financial tracking, reporting, and governance support, helping to drive the success of initiatives across a dynamic project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project documentation, registers, and plans using SharePoint, SAP, eDRMS, and Project Online
  • Track budgets, raise purchase orders, and manage goods receipting in SAP
  • Develop reports, meeting agendas, action logs, and correspondence using a range of software tools
  • Provide high-quality secretariat services to project boards, including minutes and decision/action tracking
  • Organise and coordinate stakeholder meetings, forums, and focus groups
  • Support governance, scheduling, and project team operations in a fast-paced ICT environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting ICT projects as a Senior Project Officer within government
  • Strong understanding of project governance and administration in complex ICT environments
  • Proficiency in SAP, Content Manager, and Enterprise Project Online
  • Understanding of PRINCE2, Agile, or other project methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
