We are searching for an experienced breakfast chef to work four shifts a week in our busy vibrant cafe (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays)

We are a friendly neighbourhood café in Parkville offering Rumble coffee and a breakfast and lunch menu which focuses on seasonal, good quality produce. Think eggs, toasties, salads and specials – we're serving rustic, tasty, no-nonsense food to our dedicated and loyal customers.

The details:

  • Open til close shifts on Mondays and Sundays, covering our head chefs' days off
  • Working 9-3:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays alongside our head chef
  • Excellent work-life balance working day shift only, approx. 31 hours a week
  • Competitive Casual award rate (Cook Grade 4)

The right candidate will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in breakfast and lunch service in a busy cafe or restaurant environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with our head chef and willingness to work together as a team
  • Must work well under high pressure and be versatile enough to jump in on the 2 days and run our very busy, fast-paced kitchen
