THE ROLE
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and values driven Program Manager to lead our Migrant Women's Support Program.
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the coordination of service delivery by providing leadership, guidance, support and consultation to a team to ensure achievement of quality outcomes for migrant women and their children, impacted by domestic and family violence. The role will contribute to the development of coordinated responses and activities that enhance WSSSA' reputation as a unique and innovative leader in social services for migrant women and children.
This is a full-time position that will promote and maintain a healthy and productive workplace through positive leadership, effective delegation of work and transparent and consistent decision making.

As a key part of the WSSSA leadership team, the Program Manager - Migrant Women's Support Program will thrive in a high-paced environment, love working with people and complex team environments and is able to roll their sleeves up to liaise with clients, staff and other leaders.
To be considered for this position you will bring significant leadership experience particularly in the provision of support to migrant women and children with a proven ability to lead and manage complex teams. Other key requirements include:
- A degree level qualification in Social Work or counselling, psychology, social services or a related field, and/or experience commensurate with the position is essential;
- Significant leadership and management experience, and experience of managing domestic violence programs or similar, particularly in the provision of support to migrant women and children;
- Ability to motivate and facilitate a high level of individual and team performance by providing positive leadership, management and supervision;
- Knowledge and understanding of social, emotional and wellbeing issues affecting migrant women and children;
- Understanding of risk and safety management strategies as it relates to migrant women and children who have experienced DFV;
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a diverse range of marginalised and highly vulnerable people including First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people;
- Significant experience in managing people, from recruitment through to performance management.
- A current full Australian drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
