The
Training Advisor
is responsible for delivering the core curriculum and instructional training to front line colleagues within the Customer portfolio. The core curriculum encompasses a standard induction, soft skills, technical, system, process and procedural training. The scope of this role extends to AOCs across the Qantas Group; which encompasses, regional, capital city and offshore training delivery and assurance.

Contribute to the delivery of Airport Customer Service content, including Check-in, Service Desk, Gate Agent, Reservations, and World Baggage Tracer training courses to over 65 ground handling agents across 10 mainline ports and over 60 airports within Australia. The position will improve and maintain training material manuals to ensure the highest quality of information is presented and meets regulatory requirements.

A key component of the role is delivery of Train the Trainer (TTT) to Qantas employees and ground handling agents and ongoing compliance, standardisation and assurance checks both on and offshore. These involve on site visits, coaching of the GHA and recommending remedial action. The position will be required to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Operational portfolios. This will enable them to effectively facilitate training, and liaise with the Training Community (e.g. Logistics). The Training Adviser will be required to use current adult learning methodology in all aspects of training delivery; identify areas for continuous improvement; and actively promote and manage a positive learning environment.

You'll have:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training/related discipline (TAE10); or working towards (desirable)
  • Experience in delivery of training programs within a highly regulated service environment
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Training & Development function through adhering to the quality framework and actively participating in process improvement initiatives
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet structured time constraints where work is allocated from multiple stakeholders
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in company approved software and applications including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Support outsourced training to ensure content and trainers are aligned with Qantas' quality standards
  • Ability to maintain and report accurate employee training records using a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Proven ability to motivate, develop and lead a team, to include supervising the work of others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the day of operations and provide support and assistance to Learning Managers and participants for an exceptional learning experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to deliver training
