Branch Manager

About the roleAs Branch Manager of ARC Mackay, you will take full ownership of the branch's people, performance, safety and profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance operational excellence with sales growth, customer engagement and strong financial outcomes. You will lead the branch in line with targets while maintaining a safe, efficient and high-performing operation.
Working closely with regional leadership and internal support teams, you will be accountable for delivering daily operational outcomes while positioning the branch for sustainable growth across residential, commercial and industrial market segments.
This role offers a competitive base Salary + TOT package + Remote Living Allowance + Super and Company Benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a small, high-performing team with a strong safety and customer-first culture
- Driving new sales and customer growth across key market segments
- Full P&L accountability, including cost control, margins, debtors and inventory management
- Overseeing daily production and distribution plans to meet operational targets
- Championing safety by leading from the front and ensuring compliance with OHS, environmental and regulatory standards
- Implementing local business strategies aligned to regional plans and initiatives
- Embedding systems, processes and training to support efficient, consistent service delivery
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
You are an experienced operational leader, ideally from an industrial manufacturing or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of what it takes to run a safe, compliant and commercially successful branch. You bring proven leadership capability and are comfortable operating in environments where safety discipline and operational rigour are critical to success.
You will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading operations within manufacturing, industrial or logistics settings (branch or site leadership experience highly regarded)
- A strong safety-first mindset, with experience working in businesses where safety systems, standards and accountability are embedded
- Sales and customer management experience, or the ability to quickly develop capability in either sales or product knowledge
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance operational performance, people leadership and financial outcomes
- Experience managing teams in complex, fast-paced environments with competing priorities
While candidates with direct industrial branch management experience will be highly regarded, this role is best suited to someone whose background reflects strong operational leadership and safety exposure rather than a purely sales-focused or non-industrial environment.
