Embroidery Machinist

Reports to: The Embroidery Machinist will report to theEmbroidery Team Leader.

Job Summary

As an Embroidery Machinist at Struddys, you will be responsible for operating our embroidery machines to complete in-house orders to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in ensuring garments are decorated accurately, efficiently, and on time, helping us deliver exceptional results for our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Meet deadlines set by the Operations Manager and Team Leader.
• Follow all embroidery policies, procedures, and quality control standards.
• Accurately update the tracker system and maintain a logbook of completed orders.
• Set up and run embroidery jobs according to order forms, ensuring correct threads and designs are used.
• Prepare and frame garments correctly before loading machines.
• Set up logos for embroidery on the computer and confirm approvals from sales reps before production.
• Inspect and finish garments as required (e.g., steaming) to ensure the highest quality presentation.
• Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe.
• Report machine breakdowns promptly to your Team Leader.
• Report any workplace health and safety issues to your Team Leader.
• Support the wider production team as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience operating embroidery machines (e.g. Tajima, or similar) preferred.
• High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and assist in other areas of production if needed.
