Technology Coach

Border Express currently has an opportunity available for a
Technology Coach
to join the IT team at our
Tullamarine
branch.

This position is ideal for someone who loves to work with people, enjoys teaching and has a strong interest in technology and efficiency of operations processes.

As the Technology Coach, you will play a pivotal role in rolling out new technology to operations and the broader business. You will collaborate closely with senior Operations leaders and branch managers and the entire Technology team to continuously improve efficiency at Bex. You will act as an essential partner to operations personnel from general managers to drivers.

Duties:

You will be working under the direction of our CIO assisting internal customers to use Technology and digitalisation to reduce chaos, increase efficiency and make life easier for Border Express Employees.

• You will work closely with the IT team to scope, build, test, manage and deploy a range of technology innovations.
• Provide advice across the company on the application of best practice technology and techniques to assist in business improvement, delivery and reporting.
• Coach individuals and teams to support digital transformation, increase the digital literacy of staff and get our current technology systems to be used more effectively.
• Design and implement strategies for the adaption of technology and effective use of our systems at team, branch and company levels.
• Build relationships with managers and periodically share the progress along with risk/issues/concerns observed during coaching; recommend solutions to overcome these impediments and help managers to build improved capabilities across their teams.
• Provide technology support to launches (new technology, new branches and new strategic customers).
• Run logistics graduate programs.
• Facilitate and support Operations during Technology outages.

Skills and Experience

• Fifteen years of operational experience and tertiary qualification in Engineering / Planning / Transport Operations / Information Technology or related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Demonstrated experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders, external/internal customers and partners, project team members and technical/business subject matter experts.
• Critical thinking capability with the ability to analyse and solve complex issues across a variety of systems and processes.
• The ability to articulate concepts clearly and concisely to both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Prioritise multiple complex projects and tasks so that strategic objectives are achieved.
• Proven leadership and diverse management experience
• Project management and change management disciplines
