About the role

Join a fast-moving software company where you'll play a critical role in building, improving, and scaling infrastructure that powers great product experiences. We're looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer who's passionate about enabling high-performing teams, modern DevOps practices, and making an impact beyond just the tech.

What you'll be doing

  • Always target business outcomes over technical outcomes.
  • Enable end users of our platform(s) and scaffolding to be able to operate more efficiently, consistently, reliably, securely and easily.
  • Implement infrastructure and application patterns for development and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • Shift quality and security left in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Improve on existing legacy infrastructure and applications.
  • Enhance and increase platform capabilities (security scanning tools, SAST tools etc) that may or may not exist on a customer account.
  • Assist with architectural guidance and subject matter expertise in various areas like Development, DevSecOps and Operations.
  • Assist with supporting activities that may require after hours / on-call support activities that are business critical.
  • Provide relevant documentation / reference guides in the forms of self documenting code, confluence pages and jira tickets as an example, to enable better auditability for company compliance policies (SOC 2 Compliance and PCI-DSS Compliance frameworks).
  • Provide guidance to intermediate and junior level DevSecOps Engineers with the purpose of elevating them.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years industry experience in DevOps or DevSecOps.
  • Competency in Python, Shell and any other programming languages (nodejs) are viewed favourably.
  • Experience with using a variety of CI/CD tools like GitLab, Sonarqube, Grype and their equivalents.
  • Experience with management software like Jira / Confluence.
  • Experience with quality software like Jmeter is favourable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with POS terminal software is a plus but not mandatory.
