About the Role

As the Product Quality Control Lead for the JP9101 Program, you will provide critical leadership and technical oversight to ensure product quality control processes are rigorously applied and maintained.

You will lead a dedicated QC team, driving excellence across all inspection, testing, and verification activities—ensuring that every product meets both internal and external standards.

From goods acceptance through to final product despatch, you will be accountable for preserving the integrity of quality control throughout all operational phases.

You'll be responsible for managing investigations, leading root cause analyses, and ensuring the timely resolution of non-conformances.

About You

You are an experienced quality professional with a strong background in engineering, product assurance, or manufacturing quality control.

Your technical judgement is grounded in hands-on experience, and you're confident in leading teams through complex inspection regimes, investigations, and compliance activities.

You bring a working knowledge of quality management systems (such as ISO or defence-related standards) and have a solid understanding of the risks and regulatory considerations involved in the quality control of complex systems.

Beyond your technical strengths, you're a collaborative leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and fostering cross-functional relationships.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

 

  • Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
  • Proven experience in managing applicable engineering function and/or technical delivery.
  • A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
  • Quality systems knowledge (ISO 9001: 2015) and experience within a highly regulated quality environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of QC processes and the interfaces with other business
  • Metrology experience, including use of measuring equipment and understanding of geometric tolerancing.
  • Practitioner level understanding and application of analytical problem solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) (e.g., lean; six sigma; Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control (DMAIC); Eight Disciplines (8D), etc.).
  • General knowledge of relevant Australian and International Standards as well as Quality Control Systems
