Junior Engineer – Civil Construction

About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Engineer to join our growing team at Tradetech Services (Aust.) Pty Ltd. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in supporting our civil construction projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Starting in an office-based role, supporting the field supervisors on delivery, learn all the associated processes required for the projects, from the ground up
• Assist in the design and development of civil engineering plans and specifications for a range of construction projects
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and monitor progress
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates and other project documentation
• Liaise with contractors, clients and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
• Support the project management team with scheduling, resource planning and risk mitigation
• Provide technical advice and guidance to construction crews on-site
• Maintain compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in a civil engineering or construction role
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, design methods and construction practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively tackle complex engineering challenges
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools such as CAD, project management and design applications
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• A passionate and proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development
