• We provide reliable transport of New Prestige and used cars for a select few trade customers.
• We are a small hands-on Company, the director drives one truck, and you will drive the one of the others.
• We value honesty and reliability in our team.
• We have 4 trucks, running GC to Tweed, Noosa and Toowoomba daily.
• This job will start out on a "Casual" basis then progress to "permanent" part time.
• There will be a training period(mandatory), at a negotiated rate.
• Mon-Fri work, with very occasional weekends.
• You Must Currently reside in Gold Coast area QLD Australia. We will NOT sponsor O/S visas.

Qualifications & experience

• Have the ability to drive a 6-speed manual truck and single car trailer.
• Must hold a valid QLD MR licence for this position.
• A willingness to help people is one of your most important character traits as is an eye for detail.
• Maintain a safety minded approach to working on our busy roads.
• Know your way round Gold Coast and Brisbane roads.
• Be a careful, calm driver (both in the truck and in customer's cars) ability to work unsupervised.
• Must maintain a completely clean driving record with no infringements.
• I'm looking for someone who brings a willingness to learn, is not afraid to get their hands dirty and wants to progress their career in vehicle logistics.
• Have at least 2 years' experience as a MR Driver. Car carrying experience preferred but if you haven't carried cars before there will be training for the right applicant in that regard.
• Be able to read a street directory and find the quickest, safest way to your destination without blindly following google maps on your phone.
• Must have between 2-3 years of MR/HR driving experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Undertake daily prestart checks on truck, keep company vehicles clean.
• Load and unload cars, visually check & report damages/ defects to cars. Deliver and pick up from Gold Coast to Brisbane, sometimes going to as far south as Lismore or north to Sunshine Coast and west to Toowoomba.
• Know your way round Gold Coast and Brisbane roads, yes, there will be a quiz
• Keep accurate records and have legible writing (Delivery Docket books).
• Keep office updated throughout the day, demonstrate good communication skills you'll be the face of this company and of our clients too.
• This role will be for someone who can regularly jump between 2 trucks, mostly driving our 2 - Car carrier, Tray top with a single car trailer or tilt tray but very occasionally drive the 3 rig when people go on holidays etc.
