About the Centre/Service

A Diploma Educator is required in 2026 for our sessional funded 3 & 4 year old kindergarten programs to assist with Lunch Cover relief at the centre.

Description

This is a lunch cover position only. We are looking for a Diploma Educator to join our team, working during a session to relieve staff for their lunch breaks. There will also be School Readiness Funding Hours available during the year as well as the possibility of other relief work when available. Job details

  • Our successful applicant will commence late in January 2026. A probationary period of 6 months applies.
  • This role is in our 3 & 4 year old programs.
  • Conditions as specified in the VECTEA Agreement.
  • 8 hrs per week.

Approximate Hours of Work: Monday: 12.15 – 1.45pm – 1.5 hours Tuesday: 12.15 – 1.45pm – 1.5 hours Wednesday: 12.15 – 1.45pm – 1.5 hours Thursday: 12.15 – 1.45pm – 1.5 hours Friday: 11.45 – 1.45pm – 2.0 hours Additional hours may be available when required

Qualifications

The successful applicant will require:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care qualification recognised by ACECQA
  • Hold approved and current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, adrenaline auto injector training and Asthma certificates as per the NQR.
  • Adhere to and apply to the preschool policies, principles and philosophies.
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current Police check
  • Must have excellent computer skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Must have a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
