St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia Tammy Lobato Wigs Full time $208,000 per year

Senior Hairdresser & Colourist – Wig & Hair Replacement Industry

Tammy Lobato Wigs has been helping women and men hide their hairloss with realistic hair replacement solutions for 11 years in Melbourne and Brisbane - growing and expanding year on year.

We recently opened in Sydney and are in high demand for our products and services.

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced professional to join our team in a unique dual-role position that combines advanced hairdressing skills with personalised sales consultations in the wig and hair replacement industry.

To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified hairdresser with advanced skills in colour. Experience in business ownership or management will be highly regarded.

About the Role:

This is a highly rewarding position where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients who are experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia, autoimmune conditions, or trichotillomania. Sensitivity, patience, and empathy are essential, as you will often be supporting individuals during emotionally vulnerable times. Your ability to connect with them on a personal level is essential.

Hairdressing Responsibilities:

You will use your advanced hairdressing skills to wash, custom-colour wigs, toppers, hairpieces and, occasionally clients' natural hair, to suit individual client needs and preferences. Your work will directly contribute to restoring clients' confidence and sense of self.

Sales Responsibilities:

This role also includes a strong consultative sales component. You will conduct one-on-one consultations to guide clients in selecting the most suitable wig or hair replacement solution. Full training will be provided.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified, senior-level hairdresser with advanced skills in colour
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of hairdressing experience to demonstrate senior-level expertise
  • Genuine passion for helping individuals affected by hair loss
  • Experience in hair loss solutions (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner
  • Confidence in both hairdressing and consultative sales environments
  • Australian work rights are required for this position

Position Details:

  • Location: St Leonards, Sydney studio
  • Part-time: 2 days per week initially, with potential for additional days
  • Hourly rate: $40–$45 (based on skills and experience) + commission

If you're looking for a meaningful role that allows you to use your professional skills to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
