ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a key role in Council's Sustainable Transport and Movement team. Bass Coast is growing, and in this position you will contribute to a team that has a key focus on Council's transport and traffic functions and encouraging use of sustainable transport modes.

Day to day operations will include:
- Responding to requests from the community, Councillors and other stakeholders.
- Undertaking minor traffic and transport investigations, producing reports on traffic counts, speed limit review and parking investigations.
- Developing and maintaining up to date information regarding traffic and transport projects and initiatives through various communication channels.
- Respond to street lighting requests to improve road safety outcome.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders (including State and Federal Government) and participate in working groups to improve outcomes for all users of the Bass Coast transport network.
ABOUT YOU:
Technical knowledge of traffic and transport standards and practices (or an ability to learn) will help you succeed in this role, along with a desire to deliver exceptional customer service outcomes for Council and community.
You will enjoy communicating with a wide range of people at all levels and will have excellent written and well-developed verbal communication skills.
