Seacliff Healthcare is seeking an experienced GP Practice nurse to provide high quality nursing care for our patients and positive clinical assistance for doctors.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience.

Seacliff Healthcare is a medical service company located in Thirroul, northern Wollongong, providing beautiful facilities and high quality secretarial and nursing support staff for tenant doctors, of whom we currently have 5. The Practice is accredited with Agpal and the doctors provide comprehensive general practice services to the local community. It is open monday to friday 8.30-5pm and Sunday mornings. It is colocated with pathology and allied health services.

We currently have work available for a Registered Nurse 2 days per week and will have a 3rd day available within 1 year.

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is required.

A suitable candidate must be able to collaborate in a positive and collegial way with secretarial and medical staff and have excellent communication skills with patients.

Skills required:

Immunisation knowledge and experience - for vaccinating children and adults.

IV cannulation and blood collection skills

Stock rotation and ordering

Vaccine fridge monitorring, cold chain management, fridge maintenance and supplies

Preparing Audits using PenCat or through Best Practice when requested and reporting to the Practice Principal.

Assisting the Practice Principal and Practice Manager with Practice Accreditation

Knowledge of Practice Hub, MyMedicare, Best Practice, and Hotdoc are an advantage.

Preparation of Health Assessments for over 75 year olds, 45-49 year olds, and menopausal patients, using a template, in collaboration with the patient's GP.

Preparation of GP Management Plans, in collaboration with the patient's GP, using a suitable template.

Dressings/wound care.

Assisting GPs with minor ops

Maintaing records on stock through Practice Hub and clinical notes using Best Practice medical record system.

Promoting a safe and infection-free environment by following strict hygiene protocols, as written in the Practice policy and procedures manual.

Actively participating in essential training in the Practice's policies and procedure and the clinic's continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining professional development.
