Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for someone who is passionate about managing market-leading Investment solutions in a dynamic environment.  We are looking for a driven leader to help us grow and maintain our existing Retail Investment proposition.

The Heritage Product Management and Support team in Savings & Income is responsible for the marketing, maintenance and enhancement of product propositions across the lower-, middle- and high-income markets. We are passionate about developing simple, yet innovative investment propositions that are relevant to our customers' needs. We take pride in delivering on our promises, which ultimately enable our customers to achieve their financial dreams and goals.

Key Result Areas

  • Understanding the changing regulatory environment, customer needs and market dynamics, and designing and managing innovative and relevant solutions to maintain a competitive advantage in the market and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Working closely with our business unit partners (customer segments, distribution channels, IT, Servicing, Finance, Marketing etc) to ensure a common understanding of the investment requirements and ensuring appropriate management of the existing book.

  • Management functions can include strategy, segment stakeholder engagement, product support, and improving customer and shareholder value.

  • Articulating product requirements to our IT partners and ensuring the accuracy of the resulting output.

  • Managing and facilitating the successful migration from the current PAS to the new S&I PAS.

  • Managing and mentoring a team of high-performing professionals.

  • In this role, there is a strong focus on managing our existing book of Retail Investment business, ensuring that we continue to manage our margins while continuing to offer customers value for money.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary

  • At least 6 years' experience

  • A champion of the customer

  • Solution-driven, passionate, energetic and innovative

  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills

  • A strong understanding of systems and the management of products on such systems.

  • A strong sense of ownership, initiative and the ability to think on your feet.

  • Capacity to work under pressure, in an ambiguous environment with often tight deadlines and across a wide range of areas.

  • Experience at managing and mentoring a team of professionals.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The following will be an advantage:

  • An understanding of Retail Savings & Income products, particularly the Investment industry.

  • Experience at being involved in a system migration.

  • Prior experience working in a Product development and management team.
