Our client is a fully Australian owned subsidiary of a major international supplier of bulk handling, packaging, palletizing and materials handling solutions.

At this time we are looking for an up and coming Field Service Technician with the enthusiasm and basic requirements to progress into an autonomous position installing and servicing customized solutions throughout Australia.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning activities of new machinery..
  • Perform breakdown and regular servicing of packaging machinery and bulk handling solutions.
  • Customer training.
  • Produce timely and accurate service reports..
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be trade or tertiary qualified in a mechanical or Electrical discipline, but still motivated to learn new skills and travel regularly.  
 
Your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes will be highly regarded. 
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • A working knowledge of PLCs, or a willingness to be trained into this aspect of industrial automation.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial processing or packaging would be a distinct advantage, but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • An affinity with and understanding of, the mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines.
  • An ability to work autonomously and display excellent customer service.
  • A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
  • You are a proactive self starter with a real passion to develop your skills beyond the now.
  • A full electrical license or electrical disconnect / reconnect is desirable. However if you have the basic skills, the company will sponsor you through the minimum requirement..
  • Be willing to travel both locally and interstate on a regular basis.
