About the role

The Associate Director – Project Governance Monitoring Services is a key leadership role within the Corporate Services Group, reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement. You'll lead our version of a central PMO, that is largely focussed on the development and implementation of TAFE NSW's integrated project and change delivery framework, ensuring large-scale, enterprise-wide projects achieve both technical outcomes and long-term benefits.

Managing a small team of experts, you'll support stakeholders across TAFE NSW by enhancing project oversight, monitoring, and reporting. Your team will provide expert advice and tailored strategies to strengthen governance capability and alignment with standards, driving successful project outcomes through proactive consultation and effective project management.

You'll oversee the portfolio reporting strategy, enabling high-level briefings and progress updates to be delivered to the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders. You'll also refine change and communication strategies to support governance compliance, informed decision-making, and transparent communication of deliverables, benefits, and interdependencies.

About You

We're seeking a strategic leader with:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

  • Project management qualifications or extensive experience

  • Proven success in developing and integrating project and change frameworks in complex organisations

  • Experience leading a PMO (highly desirable)
