Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to lead complex technical deployment projects that are critical for achieving key business outcomes. The role involves managing a small team, which could include functional, cross-functional, and delivery partners, and may span various business units. Additionally, the role supports the organization by ensuring that project planning, execution, dependencies, and controls are effectively integrated within complex environments. This position encompasses a broad scope, involving multiple disciplines and covering various stages of project life cycles or business initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishment and implementation of project management framework, and all associated functions and disciplines.  
  • End-to-end project management to ensure all dependencies are coordinated to achieve on time delivery, within budget and agreed quality.
  • Coordinate functional, cross functional and subcontractors to ensure on time delivery is achieved on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Implementation of project controls in a fluid manner, aligning to the project framework.
  • Creation and management of regular progress and management reports.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management with a minimum of 6 years of experience in infrastructure or engineering, such as a Bachelor's Degree. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree (Master's or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required
  • Formal qualification in project management desirable, able to deliver in agile, hybrid or waterfall methodology.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects and programs with a strong engineering focus.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at operational and government levels.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
