Senior Systems Engineer – Windows & VMware

Location:
Sydney (Hybrid)

Contract:
6–12 Months

We're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure migrations across compute, storage and virtualisation platforms. You'll work with technical SMEs to design, build and automate Windows Server and VMware environments for large-scale application and infrastructure transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce low-level designs for server and storage components
  • Deploy, harden and operate Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
  • Automate builds using PowerShell & VMware PowerCLI
  • Build staging/canary environments with rollback capability
  • Secure service accounts, certificates and credential storage
  • Integrate logging, monitoring and alerting into deployment workflows

Must Have

  • Strong Windows Server administration & automation
  • Strong VMware vSphere administration & automation
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting

Nice to Have

  • Cisco UCS experience
  • Backup/DR tooling exposure
  • Knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
