Crowd Controller

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Crowd Controller to join our team. As a Crowd Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at various venues and events. Your responsibilities will include patrolling properties, monitoring alarms, ensuring the safe delivery of valuables, and maintaining order during large gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and Security Checks:
• Conduct regular patrols of the property, checking doors, windows, and gates for unauthorized entry.
• Be vigilant for irregularities such as fire hazards, equipment malfunctions, lights left on, and unlocked security doors.
• Access Control:
• Issue security passes to authorized visitors and provide directions as needed.
• Emergency Response:
• Monitor alarms and promptly contact supervisors, police, or fire brigades if security is breached or fire is detected.
• Cash Handling:
• Safely pick up and deliver cash, payrolls, and other valuables.
• Operate coin and currency counting machines and perform cash counting and packaging functions.
• Event Security:
• Maintain order at venues with large gatherings of people.
• Ensure crowd safety and prevent disturbances.
• Investigations and Evidence Preparation:
• Conduct investigations for clients, gather evidence, and prepare reports for court proceedings.
• Theft Prevention:
• Detect and investigate theft and other unlawful acts within retail establishments.
• Client Consultation:
• Advise clients on security requirements and design effective security specifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid security license or certification.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Familiarity with emergency procedures.
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
