The Opportunity
As a Senior Test Analyst at Gentrack, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the high-quality planning and delivery of the test effort, contributing significantly to Gentrack's success and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include supervising test analysts, managing workloads, providing strategic direction for the test team, and ensuring timely delivery of test deliverables. You will also engage in hands-on testing when necessary, guide and mentor team members, and serve as a positive influence for technical best practices. This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end test delivery phases, influence technical excellence, and tailor solutions to meet customers' needs
The Specifics
- Responsible for supervision of test analysts and workload management (as and when required) to complete testing deliverables for BAU assignments and projects.
- Provide strategic direction for the test team, undertakes test planning, scopes the testing strategy required, estimates the effort and duration of testing, and determines resource and environment requirements.
- Ensure that test deliverables are produced are delivered on time, created according to the quality standards defined both internally and by the client, and are written to be re-usable and auditable.
- Undertake hands-on-testing (as and when required).
- Responsible for end to end test delivery phases from planning and control through to testing analysis and design, test implementation, execution and tools.
- Guide and Mentor other team members.
- Be a positive influential force for technical best practice within the team.
- Accurate recording of timesheets and charging of services time
- Tailors solutions to meet customers' needs.
- To abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company.
- Take reasonable care of your own and other people's Health & Safety in the workplace.
- Report all incidents and hazards in your work or in your work environment that may be putting your or anyone else's Health & Safety at risk promptly.
- In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your direct line leader.
What we're looking for (you don't need to be a guru at all,
we're looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you)~
- 5+ years of commercial Software Testing Experience.
- Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle with Agile, Waterfall, and mixed methodologies.
- Proficiency in Testing Management tools~ Enterprise Test, Team Foundation Server, HPQC, Selenium, SOAPUI, Jenkins, Gherkin, and JIRA.
- Good working knowledge of relevant technologies and concepts, including Object-Oriented Design, Enterprise Database, AWS, Java or .Net experience, GIT, Web Services, CRM, and Utilities industry.
- Positive attitude, common sense, and a sense of humor.
- Passion for excellence and a commitment to be the best.
- High levels of energy, sound judgment, and determination with a sense of urgency.
- Attention to detail, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
- Open-minded consultative approach, ability to give and receive positive and constructive feedback.
- Ability to creatively solve problems.
- Relevant Tertiary Education, ISTQB Foundation certification, and 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Specialized skills in Billing systems, CRM knowledge, Programming/Software Development, Test Automation, and Process Improvement.
