Join a large, complex organisation dedicated to protecting critical systems and information assets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior to mid-level Cyber Security Officer looking to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies and frameworks while working alongside experienced security professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in operating and administering the organisation's vulnerability management tools and processes.
  • Review current and proposed information systems for compliance with policies, standards and security frameworks.
  • Assist in investigating and responding to security breaches, vulnerabilities and incidents.
  • Prepare accurate and concise technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support and collaborate with ICT teams and stakeholders on security issues and best practices.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the organisation's overall cyber security posture.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience (or strong exposure) in a Cyber Security Officer or Administrator role.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation platforms, identity management, SIEM, SOAR, IPS, application firewalls, endpoint protection and email security.
  • Understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and ACSC Essential Eight.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within large or public sector environments will be highly regarded.
