What you'll need

  • A love for people

  • A love of guiding and educating
  • An eye for detail and colour
  • Great communication skills

It would be great if you also have

  • Design experience in the building industry (as a pre-start consultant, interior designer, client liaison or tile/finishes consultant)
  • Building plan literacy and the ability to spot discrepancies early
  • Confidence with computers and software such as Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. We'll teach you our other software
  • Current product knowledge across finishes and fixtures
  • First-hand experience building homes, so you understand the client journey

What you'll be doing

  • Facilitating pre-start preparation sessions and new-home selections
  • Selecting finishes and fixtures aligned to budget, brief and builder specifications
  • Visiting tile and flooring showrooms with clients
  • Preparing documentation: marking up cabinetry and electrical plans; typing variations
  • Liaising with clients, trades and suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate records in the project management system
  • Setting clients up for pre-start so they feel confident and clear on decisions
