BWC is a privately owned company specialising in quarrying, earthmoving and transport for the civil construction industry in Queensland since 1984.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Bulk Earthworks Leading Hand to join our team full-time at our Keperra project in Brisbane.

This role is suited to an experienced Leading Hand, or someone with solid on-the-ground experience who's ready to step up and take on more responsibility. You'll be hands-on each day, working alongside the crew, making sure the job gets done safely, on time and to a high standard. You'll also support supervisors by helping to organise people and plant on site, and keep things running smoothly with crushing and screening activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the team on day-to-day earthworks and quarrying activities;
• Help organise plant, equipment and crew for each day's tasks;
• Take a hands-on role in crushing and screening operations;
• Keep an eye on safety, making sure everyone works to site rules and procedures;
• Support supervisors with daily planning and reporting;
• Lead by example to maintain a positive, safe and productive site culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand or senior operator on quarrying/earthworks projects;
• Background in crushing and screening operations;
• A team player who can pitch in but also step up and take charge when needed;
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to get things done under pressure;
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards;
• Familiarity with mine sites or quarrying regulations is a bonus but not essential.
