About the Role
Our Recreational Planner will provide advice and assist with the strategic planning and vision of Council's sport, open space and recreation infrastructure, to ensure a range of quality services are provided to our growing communities.
As a Recreation Planner, you will research and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and management plans relating to Council's sport, open space and recreation assets and facilities. You will be responsible for the management of multiple projects and will be required to work closely with community groups, sporting associations, professional groups and other levels of government.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have degree level qualifications in recreation management, planning or a related discipline or, extensive relevant contemporary experience. You will also have experience researching and analysing information to contribute to strategic plans, reports and policy.
Additionally, you will have demonstrated project management experience, ensuring their effective delivery on time and within budget and have the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally you will possess a passion for the local community who has contemporary knowledge of the recreation, leisure and open space industry and are motivated to make a lasting impact with Maitland City Council.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging $98,093 up to $108,883 per year based on demonstrated experience + 12% p.a. super.
